MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
The complexity of the topics discussed by the Bioremediation Discussion Group (BioGroup) means it is important to have members from all
walks of life who can contribute to the discussion threads. If you are a consultant, regulator, researcher, industry representative, or
student, or even if you deal with skip hire and have an interest in bioremediation you are welcomed to sign up. If you have valuable
opinions we invite you to get involved and help keep the BioGroup active, interesting, and relevant.

The mailing list is moderated by I. Richard Schaffner, Jr., P.G., C.G.W.P., to ensure postings meet the above guidelines. Mr. Schaffner is a consulting hydrogeologist with over 10 years of experience in bioremediation science/engineering. He has published numerous technical papers on bioremediation and has presented at a wide variety of conferences and symposia sponsored by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, National Ground Water Association, Battelle Memorial Institute, American Society for Microbiology, United States Air Force, the International Association of Hydrogeologists, and the New England Water Environment Association.
The BioGroup is a moderated electronic mailing list (Listserver) owned/managed by Schaffner Applied BioGeoSciences, LLC. (SAB) and
founded by GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. to establish a forum for discussing intrinsic/enhanced bioremediation and related topics. If
you have an interest in or experience with bioremediation, your participation is strongly encouraged. Please participate frequently, as
the success of the BioGroup is determined by member participation. Information on subscribing/unsubscribing the Listserver and posting
messages to the BioGroup is included below:
The Listserver is setup to subscribe new members in either non-digest or digest mode. Subscribers in the non-digest mode receive each message after it is accepted for posting. Subscribers in the digest mode, however, receive one message each day that includes all the messages accepted for posting on that day. To change a subscription from digest to non-digest mode (or vice versa), you must first unsubscribe yourself and then re-subscribe in the desired mode.
BIOGROUP ARCHIVE
BioGroup postings are archived as a collaborative effort of the National
Water Research Institute of Environment Canada and SAB. Postings are archived
